One of the first movie theaters in Moscow, along with the Colosseum and Art. According to the Mayor of Moscow, the construction will take from three to four years.
According to the project, the ventilation ducts require cleaning and with the pylons supporting the first floor ceiling needing strengthening.
Monier's reinforced concrete vaults will be restored in the basement and the ceilings will be replaced. Historical configuration of the roof and dormer windows will be restored.
The building facade will be replastered with marble crumbs. Special attention will be paid to the restoration of decor and bas-reliefs, as well as historical lanterns at the entrances.
Restorers will restore the decorative design of the stairs to the second floor (white stone steps, metal railings of the fence), as well as the decorative design of the foyer (stucco decor, decoration of columns and pilasters with artificial marble, balustrades, lighting).
In 2021, specialists plan to restore about 100 architectural objects in different districts of Moscow. Among them are the building of HPP-2 on the Bolotnaya Embankment, three pavilions at VDNH, the Abrikosov residential building, the Naumov-Volkonsky mansion and others.
