Contest regulations
Organization and conduct of the international professional skill competition "Young Restorers"

1. General provisions

1.1. This Regulation (hereinafter referred to as the Regulation) determines the procedure for organizing, conducting and summing up the results of the International Professional Skills Competition "Young Restorers" (hereinafter referred to as the Competition).
1.2. Period of the Competition: from October 21, 2021 to October 23, 2021.
1.3. The venue for the Competition is organized within the framework of the exhibition exposition of the International Specialized Exhibition for the Preservation, Restoration, Use and Popularization of Cultural Heritage and Museum Equipment "denkmal, Russia - Moscow".
1.4. The Competition is regulated by this Regulation.
1.5. Detailed information about the Contest (including the conditions and procedure for its holding) is posted on the official page of the Contest on the Internet: denkmal.moscow/en/contest.
1.6. Information about the Contest can be posted in articles posted in the media.
1.7. Submission of applications and participation in the Competition takes place free of charge. Participants receive everything they need to perform competitive tasks free of charge.
2. Goals and objectives of the Contest

2.1. The main tasks of the Competition are:
  • Improvement of professional skills, qualification growth, self-improvement in the chosen profession;
  • Obtaining additional opportunities for professional and career development of young specialists participating in the Competition;
  • Popularization and increasing the prestige of professions among students of specialized educational institutions;
  • Acquaintance of young professionals with new advanced restoration materials and technologies.
2.2. The competition contributes to the formation of positive public opinion and trust of young people, followed by involvement in training and employment in working professions.
2.3. According to the results of the Competition, the the winners in the 5 (five) nominations set out in section 10 of this Regulation are determined.
3. Organizing Committee of the Competition

3.1. The organizers of the Competition are the Interregional Public Organization "National Committee of the International Council for the Preservation of Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS)", Russia (hereinafter - NC ICOMOS, Russia) and LMI - Leipzig International Fair (hereinafter - LMI), jointly referred to as the Organizing Committee, Organizer, Organizing Committee. The technical executor for the organization of the Competition is the Operator of the International Specialized Exhibition for the Preservation, Restoration, Use and Popularization of Cultural Heritage and Museum Equipment "denkmal, Russia - Moscow" (hereinafter referred to as the Operator).
4. Official support for the Contest

4.1. The competition is held with the official support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Department of Cultural Heritage of the City of Moscow, the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of the City of Moscow.
5. Competition Jury

5.1. Composition of the jury members of the Competition
The jury of the Competition includes representatives of restoration organizations, archaeological and architectural bureaus, representatives of construction, development, engineering and design companies, companies engaged in the production of construction and finishing materials, as well as representatives of museums, educational and scientific organizations.
5.2. Procedure for selecting the jury of the Competition
The composition of the jury members is formed on the basis of:
  • Personal invitations from the Organizing Committee;
  • Applications received from applicants for participation in the jury of the Competition.
The composition of the jury of the Competition is formed no later than October 01, 2021. The number of jury members is unlimited.
5.3. Duties of the jury members of the Competition:
  • Analysis of competitive tasks;
  • Formation of proposals for possible changes to competitive tasks;
  • Evaluation of completed competitive tasks by the participants of the Competition;
  • Determination of the winners of the Contest.
6. Board of Trustees of the Competition

6.1. The Board of Trustees of the Competition is formed on the basis of personal invitations from the Organizing Committee, and may consist of no more than 9 (nine) people.
6.2. Members of the Board of Trustees of the Competition provide comprehensive support and assistance in promoting the Competition.
6.3. Members of the Board of Trustees of the Competition also take part in voting on an equal basis with the members of the Contest jury. At the same time, if there is a situation where 2 (two) or more participants of the Competition score the same number of points, the decision on the winner is made by members of the Board of Trustees of the Competition.
7. Participants and winners of the Contest

7.1. Participants in the Competition are participants in all nominations of the Competition. Teams sent by regions of the Russian Federation and countries consisting of participants in one or more competencies, at least 5 (five) people, can take part in the Competition.
7.2. The winners of the Competition are the participants who have won their nominations.
8. Partners and sponsors of the Contest

8.1. The partner of the Competition can be educational, scientific institutions, cultural institutions, restoration and production companies.
8.2. Partners of the Competition provide methodological support in terms of the formation of technical specifications for the nominations of the Competition, instructions on occupational safety and health.
8.3. The Sponsor of the Competition can be a legal entity by purchasing a package of advertising services. Sponsors of the Competition, depending on the package of selected services and options, receive: pr-promotion of the company's brand on the information resources of the Organizer, information partners of the Contest, in printed materials about the Competition and design of the venue for competitions in the nominations of the Competition.
8.4. The funds received as a result of the Sponsor of the Contest's acquisition of advertising packages is spent on the organization of the Competition (construction of competition venues, purchase of materials, tools, production of uniforms, diplomas for participants and awards for winners).
9. Contest awards of the contest

9.1. The official award of the winners of the Competition is a molded stele, which is made of glass with acrylic elements. Each statuette is marked with the branding of the contest and the name of the corresponding nomination. Glass stella is awarded to the winners in the nominations of the Competition together with the winner's diploma.
9.2. The official award for participants who took second and third places in the nominations of the Competition is the participant's medal - a memorable prize made of brass with a diameter of 05 centimeters. Milled impression and different textures of the medal allow you to display the logo of the Contest, the name of the Contest and the year of the competition. The medal is awarded to the participants together with the diploma of the participant of the Competition.
9.3. The official award for all participants of the Competition is a diploma of the Contest participant.
10. Competition nominations

10.1. Within the framework of the competition program of the Competition, 5 (five) nominations were determined:
  • Restoration of stone and brickwork;
  • Restoration of easel painting;
  • Restoration of woodwork;
  • Restoration of metal roofing;
  • Restoration of stucco decor.
10.2. All nominations of the Competition must have the following regulatory documents regulating the conditions and rules for fulfilling the necessary requirements for participation and fulfilling all the rules of the competition program of the Competition:
  • Temporary regulations of the competition;
  • Competitive task;
  • Evaluation criteria;
  • Occupational safety and health rules;
  • Infrastructure sheet (list of permitted equipment and tools).
11. Stages of the Competition

11.1. The stage or stages of the Competition for each nomination are determined by regulatory documents for each nomination.
12. Criteria for evaluating the Competition

12.1. Each nomination has its own evaluation criteria, which are contained in the competitive task for nominations.
13. Competition result declaration and award ceremony

13.1. Competition Results are estimated by the Contest Operator by counting the points issued by the jury members of the Competition in the presence of the members of the Contest jury or members of the Contest Board of Trustees.
13.2. The winners of the Competition who took the first place in terms of the number of points received are subject to awarding. The decision of the jury members of the Competition is final and is not subject to appeal. There is no possibility of appeal.
13.3. Winners of the Competition are awarded diplomas and awards of the Competition in accordance with section 9 of this Regulation.
13.4. Partners and sponsors of the contest can establish special prizes and award them and valuable gifts to contestants.
13.5. The awarding takes place on October 23, 2021 at the central stand of the exhibition exposition of the International Specialized Exhibition for the Preservation, Restoration, Use and Popularization of Cultural Heritage and Museum Equipment "denkmal, Russia - Moscow".
14. Procedure for amending the Regulations of the Competition

14.1. The Organizing Committee of the Competition reserves the right to make changes to the Regulations of the Competition at any time, depending on the need for changes in the relevance of the criteria for evaluating the participants of the Competition and other necessary clarifications and additions.
14.2. Procedure for making changes:
1. Information about all changes made to the Contest Regulations should be announced on the official page of the Contest on the Internet: denkmal.moscow/en/contest.
2. The current Regulations of the Competition should be published on the official page of the Contest on the Internet: denkmal.moscow/en/contest.
3. Changes made to the Regulations of the Competition shall take effect only from the moment of publication of the updated version of the Regulations of the Competition on the official page of the Contest on the Internet: denkmal.moscow/en/contest.
