CEO of the constructing company Forßbohm & Söhne Bauunternehmen GmbH, which is located in Leipzig, Germany. He has been involved in the Leipzig’s Chamber of Crafts for many years. Mr. Forßbohm is a member of the assembly for the fourth electoral term; he has been a member since 2001 and chairman of the vocational training committee since 2007. He was the deputy headmaster of the Leipzig's building guild for ten years. In July 2021 Matthias Forßbohm was elected as new president of the Leipzig’s Chamber of Crafts.
