The Vladimir-Suzdal Museum-Reserve was founded in 1958. Today the museum has 45 expositions in Vladimir, Suzdal and Gus-Khrustalny, 8 exhibition halls, 64 architectural monuments, 7 of which are included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List: the Golden Gate, the Assumption and Dmitrievsky Cathedrals of the XII century in Vladimir, Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin of the XIII century, the ensemble of the Monastery of the Saviour and St. Euthymius, the oldest monuments of Bogolyubovo and Kideksha. The museum collection has more than 450 thousand items.
